The Oyster Festival is unlike anything else in York County. For over 50 years, it’s grown from a small 1974 gathering into one of the region’s most beloved traditions—bringing thousands together for food, music, and community pride. Today, it’s a family-friendly street festival filled with live entertainment, local vendors (yes, oysters—plus shrimp, BBQ, crabcakes, apple fritters, beer, wine, and more), and hands-on activities that celebrate York County spirit.
